GEARSHIFT ROBOTICS
Gearshift Robotics is a rookie FIRST Tech Challenge team engineering, coding, and building our way through their first season.
Robotics competition, real engineering
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is an international robotics competition for students in grades 7–12. Each season brings a brand-new game, and teams like ours design, build, wire, and program a robot from scratch to compete head-to-head.
Beyond the robot, FTC pushes us to think like engineers — managing a season-long project, keeping an engineering notebook, and presenting our work to judges alongside driving on the field.
It's more than a competition: it's where we learn CAD, coding, electrical wiring, and teamwork that carries into everything we do.
The people behind the robot
We're a student-run FTC team based in Milpitas, building robots and a community around engineering. Click on a teammate below to hear them introduce themselves.
